Entrepreneurship is the backbone of our economy. The growth of entrepreneurial activities enhances on employment, growth in Gross Domestic Product, eradication of poverty, mitigate social unrest and enrich capital formation.

 The present book has covered some important aspects of bamboo based enterprises in the state of Nagaland and displayed in eight chapters. The findings and results mentioned in this book are based on the facts derived through analyses of data collected from different sources. The book is expected to be a scanty contribution to the existing literature on entrepreneurship and deserves the attention of entrepreneurs, policy makers and post graduate students and research scholars of Management, Commerce and Economics respectively.

Dr. Khundrakpam Devananda Singh holds PGDIBO, M. Com., MBA and Ph. D. Degrees from  Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi and Manipur University, Imphal, Manipur. He worked in Institute of Co-Operative Management (ICM), Government of India, Imphal and North-Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology (NERIST), Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh engaging with the students of HDCM, PGDBM, B. Tech. and MBA students for seven years. Since June, 2012, Dr. Singh is working in the Department of Management, North-Eastern Hill University, Tura Campus, Tura, Meghalaya as an Assistant Professor.

In his career as an Academician, he has published six books, four research articles in International Journals, ten research articles in National Journals, seven book chapters, participated and presented papers in twenty-eight International/National seminars/Conferences. He has participated in various Short Term Courses and also organised many Short Term Courses, seminars and conferences including an International Seminar. He has completed two major research projects sponsored by NABARD, Mumbai and ICSSR, New Delhi respectively. Presently, he is the Principal Investigator of two major research projects in which one is sponsored by NABARD, Mumbai and the other by NCERT, New Delhi.

Dr. Ditalak Mpanme holds a Ph. D. Degree in Management from North-Eastern Hill University, an MBA from Assam University, PGDBA & LL.B from Bangalore University. Presently, he is serving as an Assistant Professor for nearly 9 years in the Department of Management, Nagaland University (Central University). Prior to this, he has served as a Finance Manager in World Vision, as Business Development Officer in International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Accounts Officer in BSI and few others. He also has published research papers in international and national journals, articles in edited book, and participated and presented papers in national and international seminars and conferences. His area of interest is in Human Resource Management and Entrepreneurship.
